The California Grand Jurors' Association (CGJA) is a state-wide organization made up of citizens who have served on the Civil Grand Jury in the past.  We are the Humboldt County chapter of the CGJA.  Our purpose is to support the sitting grand jury by educating the public about the role of the Civil Grand Jury and encourage participation throughout our region.

Each year, 19 citizens are selected by the Superior Court to investigate, report, and recommend improvements within county and city agencies, special districts, and other publicly funded organizations. Serving on the Humboldt Civil Grand Jury is one of the most meaningful ways to make a difference in our community.  Jurors review local operations, interview public officials, and examine how tax dollars are managed.
